Mel began her metalworking career in her dad’s garage at age 14. Fascinated by repurposing recycled materials, she welded one-off furniture and lighting pieces. Over the years she has been creating metal sculptures, lighting and worked in architectural interior design.
Today, Mel continues her passion for creating timeless jewellery and sculptures in Hawea. Inspired by the physical world around her, the designs explore texture, form, and organic patterns.
