Anne Baldock

Anne Baldock draws inspiration to paint from the picturesque Otago Peninsula, where she resides. Her figurative works often depict intricate domestic scenes or meetings that are observed from an elevated perspective, evoking the curiosity of a fly on the ceiling witnessing life unfold. The presence of animals reflect her belief that pets are an integral part of what makes a house a home. Extra dimension is achieved in the domestic room interiors through the use of hand cut natural birch plywood strips carefully mitred and layered to form the walls and perimeter furniture. Each work is truly unique.
